The Rogue CFO Entrepreneur Education Seminars are brought to you by Chris Benjamin, the Rogue CFO. His own practice and firm is Chris Benjamin Consulting, LLC., based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
Chris has over 15 years experience in accounting and finance, with a passion for Entrepreneurism and launching new startup ventures.. With an BA undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, B.C., Canada, and a MBA. degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the University of Washington (a Top-20 ranked MBA School), Chris is well educated in the needs of companies with regard to finance.
After 9 years in the corporate world, working as a CFO to both publicly traded companies as well as startups, Chris decided to pursue his own entrepreneurial passions. Working with startups as C-level management, bringing his experience and education to the table, Chris helps startups put in place all of the necessary infrastructure and protocol to launch their ventures correctly.
To date, Chris has helped over 100 startups in several ways. Early stage ventures typically work with Chris on a project basis preparing business plans, financial forecasts, investor presentations, and private placement memos in order to get their venture ready to tackle the funding hurdle, and prepare the entrepreneur for what lies ahead. In the past, Chris has also helped match entrepreneurs with funding sources, and works only with the startups which he believes he has solid connections in the investment community which can help.
Chris is most passionate about partnering with startups as an ongoing, virtual CFO. Having worked in a full-time capacity as CFO to a few startups, Chris realized that most startups did not need to pay a full-time CFO a six figure salary plus benefits, when the needs are not the same level as a publicly traded company.
